A long garden : :
This house in the Surrey Hills was renovated and extended as a family home. Our brief was to create a series of spaces to accommodate the needs and wishes of a growing family. A main terrace and additional seating areas hidden by soft planting leads through a Yew hedge to a large lawn with old apple trees. Beyond the lawn, paths lead through wild meadow grass planted with multi-stemmed Silver Birch. A double Hornbeam hedge separates the vegetable garden that has raised beds, a greenhouse and a shed. This are in turn leads through a Rose arch to a wildflower area overlooking fields at the rear of the garden.
